Robert Griffin III easily beat out rookie quarterbacks Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson to take home the Associated Press' 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year. RG3 earned 29 votes while Luck and Wilson had 11 and 10, respectively. All three rookies led their teams to the playoffs, but they weren't as electric as Griffin. The Redskin QB finished with 3,200 yards, a completion percentage of 65.6, threw for 20 touchdowns, and only had five interceptions. He also rushed for 815 yards and had seven touchdowns on the ground. The last time we saw the rookie, he was laying on the field in pain after tearing several ligaments in his right knee.

On another note: Carolina Panther rookie linebacker Luke Kuechly was voted the 2012 Defensive Rookie of the Year. Kuechly finished with 103 tackles and two interceptions for the 7-9 Panthers. After the first-round pick was moved into the middle linebacker role, Carolina jumped from 24th in overall defense to 10th. Expect big things from Kuechly in the future.
