Rajon Rondo Might Get Traded by the Celtics This Week Despite the ACL Tear He Suffered Recently

Who wants an injured point guard?

What's it take for a guy to get a little job security around here?! You would think that Rajon Rondo wouldn't have to worry about getting traded this year, due to the season-ending ACL tear he suffered recently. But, you'd be wrong. League sources have told ESPN's Chris Broussard that the Celtics would be more than willing to move RR right now. But, they don't expect to do it unless the right offer comes along.

"It looks unlikely that anything will be done," says Celtics GM Danny Ainge, "other than possibly some players we will add to our roster. Not sure of what that will be. There's been a lot of conversation around the league, and we've been very busy. Trades are very challenging to make, and then on top of that we like our guys. I like watching this team play, I like the personality of our team. We just need to find a way to give them the best chance to win with the resources we have."

And, one of those "resources" just happens to be a top-five NBA point guard who can't play for the rest of the year. So, if he does get traded, at least you'll know why.
