Pau Gasol tweaked the fascia in his right foot during the first half of yesterday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Gasol continued to try playing through the pain, but after he jumped up and attempted to block a shot by Brook Lopez in the second half, Pau says that's when he felt a pop in the bottom of his foot. Gasol left the Barclays Center in crutches and after an initial examination, CBS Sports is reporting that he will miss 6-8 weeks with a partially torn plantar fascia.

Because of the injury, the Lakers won't be able to dangle Gasol's name in upcoming trade talks, however, the team was granted a disabled player's exception for Jordan HIll which means they can "spend a little more than half of Hill's salary, about $1.78 million, in order to sign a free agent or to absorb a player's contract acquired in a trade." With Dwight Howard out as well, things aren't looking good for the Lake Show. Can Kobe play center and power forward too?
