Nissan's GT Academy takes a group of the world's best GranTurismo 5 players and spends a few weeks training them to race real cars on real tracks. The plan was to have the graduates compete in the Pro-Am class of the British GT Championship, which is designed for gentleman, not professional, racers.

The problem is that the GT Academy graduates are so fast that they don't fit in to the Pro-Am class, and do not have enough experience to race with the pros. Last year, GT Academy winner Jann Mardenborough nearly won the Pro-Am class.

Even if they don't get to race in the British GT Championship, there are other races on the horizon for these intrepid gamers.
