If Lindsey Vonn wants to participate in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia next year, she's going to need to hope that her body heals as quickly as she skis. During a women's super-G race at the Alpine skiing world championships earlier today, Vonn crashed into a gate after completing a jump and tore both the ACLandMCL in her right knee and fractured one of her shin bones. She had to be tended to on the slope for about 15 minutes before medics airlifted her to a local hospital to undergo further treatment on her leg.

No word on how this injury will affect her going forward yet. But, it's safe to say that she's going to need to put in a lot of hard work over the course of the next 12 months to be ready for the Olympics, which will be held next February. Our best wishes for a very speedy recovery.
