LeBron James Says He Might Stop Doing Crazy Dunks Before Games

Nooooooo!

Steve Mitchell/USA Today Sports

Before last night's Heat/Kings game, LeBron Jamespulled off another pretty incredible dunk during pre-game warmups. It's apparently become his new "thing," and it gives Heat fans more incentive to come out to games early. But, after the Heat knocked off the Kings in double OT, King James revealed that he might stop doing the dunks soon. Why? Well, it seems he's upset that people continue to point out the fact that he does all of these Slam Dunk Contest-worthy dunks during pre-game warmups but won't throw his name into the running to be a Slam Dunk Contest participant.

"Maybe I should stop because it's making a lot of people mad about what I do," he explained. "They're like, 'Well, if you can do it in warmups, why don't you [want to] be in the dunk contest.' Stop it."

We'll admit that we're just as guilty as anyone else with regards to needling LeBron about refusing to take part in the dunk contest. But, that certainly doesn't mean that we want him to stop doing crazy dunks before games. It's great for LeBron, the Heat, and the league, so we hope he doesn't really stop doing the dunks. Please, LBJ?
