Lamborghini's Fastest Car Ever Set For March 5 Debut

Celebrating 50 years, the Italians will bring a special car to Geneva.

Currently, the fastest Lambo—the Sesto Elemento—hits 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. The car is relegated to the track, giving street racers reason to lust after forbidden fruit.

Lust no longer, friends, the future is rumored bright.

On March 5, Lamborghini will celebrate 50 years of automotive excellence by launching its fastest ever model at the Geneva Motor Show. It's possible the car will be based on the Aventador, get street legal designation, and be built in a painfully small number (try 10).

Whatever the end result, Lamborghini design chief Filippo Prini promises "a big surprise." We're already salivating.
