A couple days ago, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers should consider applying the amnesty clause to the contract of Kobe Bryant. With Bryant set to earn $30.45 million next season, the Lakers could benefit financially from placing the Black Mamba on waivers before the start of the 2013-14 campaign, however, such an action also runs the risk of allowing other teams to acquire KB for a reduced rate before he ever reaches free agency. But let's be real. The Lakers would never do that.

Today, the Lakers faced the Dallas Mavericks and it looked like Bryant used Cuban's words as some extra motivation. In the end, Kobe had 38 points on 13-21 shooting with 12 rebounds and 7 assists to help the Lake Show defeat the Mavs, 103-99. Shortly after the game, the Black Mamba hit up Twitter to put the final touch on his bold statement.

Amnesty THAT

Got 'em! Honestly, you had to think Kobe would end up getting the last laugh, no?
