In case you've forgotten, the shocking report made by former FBI director Louis J. Freeh revealed Joe Paterno tried to cover-up Joe Sandusky's horrific crimes, which pretty much damned his legacy. However, his family is still sticking by him a year later. Today, the Paterno family released a 238-page response to Freeh's conclusions. The most interesting thing about the report is they straight up denied Freeh's accusations, calling it unfair and unfounded:

The report also claimed there was no evidence that Paterno tried to conceal evidence in order to avoid bad publicity. In addition, the report noted that Freeh's report "ignored decades of expert research and analysis of the appropriate way to understand and investigate a child sexual victimization case. Consequently, the Freeh report missed a tremendous opportunity to educate the public regarding the behavior of 'nice-guy' acquaintance child molesters" (which feels totally besides the point, but whatever).
Freeh stood by the report, even though he didn't take time to refute the specific criticism. Instead, he said ""I stand by our conclusion that four of the most powerful people at Penn State failed to protect against a child sexual predator harming children for over a decade." This pretty much hit the nail on the head. Paterno and company failed, and now the head coach's legacy as well as the Penn State's shall forever remain tarnished.
