Before securing an opponent, Floyd Mayweather scheduled May 4 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas as the first time he would step back into the ring since his two-month jail sentence for domestic violence. Now, we're a little less than three months away and there's still no official announcement. However, that may change real soon, if Mayweather himself turns out to be correct.

This morning, Mayweather posted the following tweet:

The negotiations for my fight are almost done. The front runner is IBF Champion Devon Alexander. It’d be a unification bout at welterweight.

This announcement by Floyd is surprising considering that Alexander is currently dealing with a severely strained right biceps which, according to his trainer and manager Kevin Cunningham, will keep him out of commission for up to two months. Obviously, when approached about the rumored bout with Mayweather, Cunningham said that "Devon is focused on getting his biceps back to 100 percent, and whatever Mayweather tweeted, you got to talk to Mayweather about that." Guess we'll just need to wait and see. But let's say hypothetically that this fight does go down, do you see Money having any trouble with Alexander in the ring?
