If you're into gambling, you should never, ever place a large bet on the Cowboys. Just ask pregnant Dallas fan Marissa Pena what might happen if you do.

Last season, she made a bet with her boyfriend Emanuel Vega. The bet was simple: If the Cowboys beat the Redskins on Thanksgiving Day, then the couple would name their son-to-be "Austin Miles Vega." But, if the Redskins beat the Cowboys, then the couple would name their son-to-be "Robert Griffin Vega." No point spreads. No stipulations. Just a straight-up bet for the right to name their child. And—wouldn't you know—the Cowboys completely fell apart during the contest (we know, so shocking, right?) and lost 38-31 in a game that wasn't nearly as close as the score would lead you to believe. As a result, "Robert Griffin Vega" is the name that the couple will use when their son is born in April, which makes dad very happy.

"I would die if my son grew up to be a Cowboys fan," Vega said recently. "That'd be awful. I don't even know how I'd feel."

Fortunately, we don't think that's going to happen now—no matter what the kid's mom says or does to try to bring her son to the dark side.
