Ever wonder why the Ohio Buckeye leaf–the one that has been a symbol of the strength of the university's students for decades–looks kind of like a marijuana plant? Unfortunately for one 65-year-old lady, a few Tennessee police officer did. Bonnie Jonas-Boggioni and her 66-year-old husband was on her way home from her mother-in-law's funeral when she was pulled over because the police mistook her Ohio State decal for a marijuana plant. They were a few miles east of Memphis From the looks of the following excerpt, the police was ready for a serious, elderly drug bust:
Two officers approached, one on each side of the car.
Yes, they really went through all that for a 65-year-old. Jonas-Boggioni also said, “It’s just amazing they would be that dumb." Pretty sure many concur.
