A bit of a journeyman late in his NFL career, Rypien's best season came in '91. He threw for over 3,000 yards with 28 touchdowns, and just 11 interceptions. He led his team to a 14-2 regular season record, and a 37-24 victory in Super Bowl XXVI over the Buffalo Bills. Rypian was decent up until that point, but nothing to write home about, and he was never able to replicate those numbers after he won his ring. His career ended with Rypian serving as quarterback of the arena league Rochester Raiders in 2006.
