The Chief played for 50 years, or so it seemed. While a member of the Golden State Warriors, the Celtics traded for him for a couple picks, one of which turned into Kevin McHale. Those two coupled with Larry Bird, turned the Celtics into contenders again. Parish patrolled the paint with his long arms and intimated opponents with his emotionless stare. He also helped on the offensive end with his sweet drop step, soft touch around the rim, and a 15-footer. Parish used all those skills mentioned well into the twilight of his career.
