Dave Cowens made it to the Hall of Fame by being one of the hardest workers amongst his peers. He was one of those guys that went after every lose ball, every rebound, and by the end of the night he had a double-double. His work ethic helped the Celtics win championships in 1974 and 1976, ultimately resurrecting the Boston dynasty after Bill Russell retired. He's evidence that fundamentals and a lot of heart will get you a long way. So, remember kids, box out and get low on defense. That might get you into the Hall of Fame one day.
