In case you didn't already know, the Subaru Legacy, Outback, and Tribeca are built in Lafayette, IN. According to an article by Japan's Nikkei business journal, Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru's parent company) has committed to investing $230 million to expand the plant and raise output by 30,000 vehicles per year.

The expansion is due to the 184% increase in Impreza sales last year and the strong Japanese Yen, which adds cost to importing vehicles.
