If you've ever driven in NYC you've probably, at some point, come across some of the city's infamously indecipherable parking signs. Surely, the fear of restrictions and possible fines that follow have led no small number of drivers to reconsider parking in one of the city's hard-to-find spots.

New York City'sDepartment of Transportation, in it's ongoing effort to make commuting in the city more effective, recently partnered up with design firm Pentagram to redesign the signs, spacing out the information and streamlining the font and color, taking some of the confusion out of the process of parking in the city. As of last week some 450 of the newly redesigned signs have already been put up in midtown Manhattan.
