Northern Illinois Only Scored Four Points in First Half

Northern Illinois is a Division 1 school, by the way.

Things are looking up for Northern Illinois' men's basketball program. After struggling for a while, the team has finally become relevant. Just look at the latest Twitter hashtag: #ThingsThatScoreMoreThanNIU. OK, we sort of lied about things looking up, because the Huskies definitely raised the bar when it comes to failing. The squad scored just four points in the first half in its loss against Eastern Michigan today, which beat an NCAA record Northern Illinois set earlier this season.

Northern Illinois also shot just 1 for 33 from beyond-the-arc and was 8 for 61 from the field. So kids, next time you have a bad game on the court, just step back and think, "At least I'm not Northern Illinois."
