Back in the 1990s, Mercedes produced a very small run of the 290 GD you see above. Reports from France suggest an all-new G-Class pickup may be on the horizon. It would cost roughly $68,000, seat two people, and offer a top speed of 55 mph.
Wait, what? Yes, a limited top speed is connected to the other bad news here: If Mercedes-Benz produces a new pickup, it will only be available to commercial buyers in Europe.
