According to the San Mateo Daily Journal, former 49ers' 2003 first-round Kwame Harris was scheduled to appear in court today after accusations of assault, battery, false imprisonment, negligence and both intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress on his ex-boyfriend over "soy sauce and underwear."

On August 21, 2012, Harris got into a heated exchange with Dimitri Geier at Su Hong restaurant in Menlo Park, California after soy sauce was poured onto a plate of rice. The argument lasted for seven minutes. Afterwards, the two went to retrieve Geier's belongings from Harris' car, which is when Kwame accused Dmitri of stealing his underwear and, wait for it, tried pulling his pants down.

After Harris' unsuccessful attempt, he shook and punched the arms of his ex-boyfriend until Dmitri allegedly struck the former Niner three times in the face. That brief retaliation resulted in Kwame punching Geier several times in the face. Dimitri was eventually taken to an emergency room where he needed surgery to repair broken orbital bones and required a metal plate to repair the damage.

If convicted, Harris could face up to seven years in prison.
