China Expected to Build More Cars Than Europe in 2013

A first in the history of the automotive industry.

China is set to produce 19.6 million cars in 2013, according to projections recently prepared for the Financial Times. While the data suggests a boost in worldwide auto production, it does also signify the both the rise of Chinese production as well as some of the difficulties faced by the European auto industry, with only 18.3 million cars expected to be be produced there. This data is compared to last year when Europe made 18.9 million cars and China totaled only 17.8 million.
