The Nissan GT-R is, without a doubt, an amazing machine. It has received its fair share of criticism, but none of that criticism has been regarding its capabilities; the complains have largely been about the style of the vehicle. SO for the new version, coming in 2017, it will be much more aggressive.

That's not the big news, however. The big news is that the 2017 GT-R might be a hybrid, so that it can meet the quickly increasing emissions standards. The alternative is a "turbo compressor and generator setup" that would "assist" the current engine. Regardless of which option ends up being pursued, the new car will have engine start-stop and cylinder deactivation.
