The new Alpine must, according to Renault Chief of Design Laurens van den Acker, "look like the A110 Berlinette... similar to what BMW has done with the Mini and Fiat with the 500." What this means is that, as cool as the Alpine concept from last year was, the actual car will probably not look much like it.

The car itself will be powered by a mid-mounted, 250hp turbocharged four cylinder and feature a manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It will cost €35,000 to €40,000 ($44k to $50k) and the compay expects to sell 5,000 to 10,000 per year.
