Jennifer Melissa Herring, 37, of Myrtle Beach apparently has a contract with the Brunswick County, North Carolina police department by which she will be paid $300,000 if the officers of the department cause a "false sense of emergency." At least that what she seems to have thought on the night of December 10th, when she gave chase on a highway and called the department demanding she be paid her money. After about 15 minutes, she finally gave up the chase and was arrested and charged with a list of offenses including: driving while impaired, felony fleeing to elude arrest, driving while license revoked, careless and reckless driving and driving left of center.
