No secret, we've been known to lust after some Holden vehicles. GM's Australian subsidy produces all the hard hitting, rear-wheel driving muscle of our dreams. News of the Chevy SS, based on the Holden Commodore, has our hopes up—the potential for resuscitating classic American badges through Australia really exists.

With Chevy renewing the El Camino name with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, speculation has run high that the classic car would be returning—of course, with a little held from Holden and its Ute—fitting in the line cleanly next to the SS. We can only cross our fingers.
