Recently, the entire Lakers team got together to watch Lincoln. Kobe Bryant passed out bags of gummy bears. Pau Gasol manned the popcorn machine. And, Steve Nash did what he's been doing for the last few weeks now—he sat and watched and did nothing to help.

Okay, okay, so we're just kidding. We're not sure if any of that actually went down. But, the Lakers did watch Lincoln together recently and, afterwards, Kobe told ESPN's Dave McMenamin that he was a little confused because it seemed like a few of his teammates (he didn't name names) didn't appear to know who Abraham Lincoln was. Specifically, he says they were shocked when Lincoln was assassinated:

Kobe on the team's viewing of "Lincoln": "I don't know if the guys knew who he was ... It came as a big shock to them when he was killed"

McMenamin later cleared up the statement by saying that Kobe was just being sarcastic when he said that:

For those not adept in the art of sarcasm, Kobe was joking about his teammates not knowing who Lincoln is

But, that does sound like something Kobe would say with a straight face, doesn't it? Oh, just in case you were wondering, one other thing we learned from McMenamin is that Steve Nash didn't actually sit and watch the movie...he sat and snored through it:

Dwight on "Lincoln": "It was long ... Steve (Nash) fell asleep at one point. He was snoring"

Sounds like a great time!
