Audi's 2013 RS 6 Avant Hits 60 in Under 4 Seconds

Not your average family car.

Zero to 62 in under 4 seconds is impressive for a muscle car. It's even more impressive for a family wagon.

Audi's whipped the veil of the hotly-anticipated, third-generation 2013 RS 6 Avant. The new 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine kicks out 552 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque. The car can hit 189 mph, but for the sake of the kids is limited to 155 mph in standard package.

Aesthetically, the Avant differs from its regular A6 kin. An aggressive front bumper and fender flares at the rear push the shape forward. Additionally, standard 20-inch seven-spoke wheels distinguish the feet.

While Audi hasn't announced plans to release the R6 Avant in the USA, roughly $124,000 plus a solid import partner will get you one from Europe.
