Mark Sanchez isn't the only NFL player who received a death threat on Twitter this week. On Wednesday, 49ers kicker David Akers—who has struggled at times this season—also received a death threat from an angry fan that he quickly re-tweeted.

"YOU F---OT IF YOU MISS ONE MORE FIELD GOAL YOU ABOUT TO GET YOUR ENTIRE LIFE ENDED," Twitter user @RIP_FreeLaddin tweeted to Akers late Wednesday, before later claiming that his account had been hacked.

Aker's response? Shortly after the retweet, he disabled his account. And, you know? We can't even blame him. These Twitter threats are getting out of hand.
