Toyota Has Been Testing a KERS-Equipped FR-S

Tech from the Le Mans racer in the FR-S? Yes, please.

That's right, there might be a hybrid version of the Scion FR-S. It won't be some wussy little weakling though, it will be more powerful than the base FR-S. This car would use the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) that's found in Toyota's Le Mans Prototype, rather than the more pedestrian technology from the Prius line up.

Toyota has confirmed, to Top Gear, that a prototype is already being tested.
