Ford opted to sell the new Ranger in every truck market except for the United States and Canada, and now it has unanimously been declared the International Man of Mystery Truck of the Year. This is why we've been whining about not getting this vehicle so much. At the Millbrook proving ground the Ranger scored more point in testing than the second and third place runners up put together.

The new Ranger is capable of doing everything that one would want a truck to do short of towing large boats, all while remaining comfortable as a passenger car and inexpensive to own and operate. Are we really this stupid? Did Ford really find in its market research that Americans are more concerned with the size of a truck than how well it will accomplish the job they want it to do?
