Hat tip to Detroit, celebrating cult classics remains central to automaker plans. For example, the 2013 Dodge Charger Daytona. In the 1970s, this winged car was a sales flop that nevertheless developed a long lived fan base. Today, the Charger Daytona package is less agressive. It is, however, a fitting homage to the legacy of American muscle.

There is nothing outlandish in body styling to the 2013 Dodge Charger Daytona. No big rear wing or imposing snout. Instead, personality draws from use of a unique color palette of Daytona Blue, Bright White, and Pitch Black, matched up with 20-inch aluminum wheels. Under the hood, a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 runs 370 horsepower. The interior boasts custom upholstery with Daytona Blue stitching and a Beats Audio 10-speaker sound system.

The last Charger Daytona, back in 2007, sold quick. Expect 2013 to move fast too.
