Scottie Pippen Says President Obama Reminds Him of Michael Jordan on the Basketball Court

The President's got game.

Scottie Pippen played in thousands of basketball games alongside Michael Jordan. So, when he compares someone to MJ, the world listens. It's one of the reasons there was so much hoopla around the comments Pippen made about LeBron James last year.

But, has Pip lost his mind? We know he wants to stay on President Obama's good side and everything. But, did he really just compare the Commander-in-Chief to the greatest basketball player of all-time? Why, yes he did.

"He's not an overly aggressive player, but he takes what the defense gives him," Pippen said yesterday after playing with the President in a pickup game on Election Day. "He's got a smooth game. He probably used to be a little more aggressive, but obviously he doesn't want to get hurt…I thought the lanes opened up when Michael Jordan used to drive. I used to be like, 'Wow.' But, when I saw the President drive, I thought they were bringing the whole motorcade through the lane it was so wide."

Ah, okay. Well, we can live with that comparison, because we're pretty sure the lane opens up for the President for a much different reason than it used to when MJ played. No shots, Mr. President. Just sayin'. But, hey: Even if you're the POTUS, it's still gotta be pretty cool to be mentioned in the same sentence as MJ, right?
