McLaren Unveils the Track-Only 12C Can-Am

This is going to be fast.

The McLaren MP4-12C is already a very, very fast car, but for some people, like the engineers at McLaren, enough is never enough. That's why 30 examples of the McLaren 12C Can-Am are being made. Named for the almost unrestricted motorsport series that ran from 1966 to 1986, this Macca has had its power bumped to 630hp and downforce increased by 30% by virtue of a massive wing. Race spec safety equipment has been added for obvious reasons, and the steering wheel is based on the one from the amazing McLaren GT3 race car.

It's being billed at "the ultimate track car," and we can see a strong argument here. The only question is: how much will this monster cost?
