Jeremy Lin has had a relatively quiet start to the 2012-13 NBA season. Through eight games so far this season, he's averaged a modest 10.9 points and 6.1 assists. But, he's not complaining about his current situation at all. In fact, it sounds like he's happy to be flying under the radar right now. In an interview that he did with Yahoo! Sports recently, Lin acknowledges that he wasn't comfortable when "Linsanity" struck earlier this year in New York City.

"I went into an absolute shell for a few months in New York," he says. "I went through a phase when I didn't want to talk to anybody. I didn't want to talk to my friends. I didn't want to give anybody close to me a chance to mess up our relationship. I saw how publicity and fame changed certain people around me and changed how people looked at me. And, I hated it."

Most pro basketball players would probably kill to have the kind of season that Lin had last year. So, it's interesting to hear him talk about how hard it was and how he's glad it's over. But, we've gotta admit: We're glad it's over, too. Fun as it was, "Linsanity" wasn't going to last forever in NYC. So, it's probably best for Lin to be back where he belongs for awhile—under the radar. Just as long as he doesn't stay there for too long.
