21. Jeremy Lin, Houston Rockets
2011-2012 Stats: 14.6 PPG 3.1 RPG 6.2 APG 1.6 SPG
2012-2013 Salary: $8.3 million
Jeremy Lin saved the Knicks 2012 season. OK, now that that's out of the way, let's get to his game. Once teams started to get more film on him, he couldn't go left, get in the lane or hold onto the ball. He still managed to finish the year with respectable numbers and is a gold mine off the court. The Rockets let two solid point guards walk to take a chance on Lin (Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic). They also gave him a shit load of money (3-years, $25 million!).
That being said, Lin is still a solid player that can be a viable starting point in this league or at the very least be a great back-up. Jeremy is a capable scorer and has quick hands on the defensive end. Either way, we'll take 20 guys over him. He got paid more for his marketability than for his skills. Now with James Harden as his partner, let's see if he can live up to all the hype. So, yeah, J-Lin is overrated. *cues the haters' soundtrack*
