Designer Ben Wilson, based in London, noticed that many bicycle deliveries were being made on mountain bikes. He noted the weight, the steering, and the obvious—there was certainly a better option for hauling goods on two wheels. Wilson's Donkey Bike responds to urban needs by mixing the ease of use of a BMX with the load capacity of a classic Dutch model.

His design distributes weight across a single beam at center of the frame rather than on the handlebars, making handling better and improving maneuverability in tight space. The photos show the potential, and also the humor, of this fine invention.
