Before it was announced that the NYC Marathon would be canceled, WFAN radio host Mike Francesa went on one of his rants about how stupid it would be to carry on with the event. He sighted the gas shortage and the two million people without power while also adding:
"I feel for the people running around in their little jogging outfits from, you know, Norway running in the street right now because someone might take a swing at them....There's no water! People are washing their hands in the street and you got people in their jogging outfits!"
Yup, we're pretty sure Francesa's 7-minute rant convinced El Bloombito to change his mind.
