Traditionally, the steering wheel has been in charge of steering, and that's about it. Now people can control their radios, cruise control, and cell phones with buttons built into the wheel, and Ferrari has even gone so far as to put the turn-signals, windshield wiper, headlight and the like's controls on the wheel. Not one to be out done in the field of "gadgets of questionable utility" department, BMW M has created this steering wheel which is, admittedly, quite cool.
The new accessory from the M division features a lateral accelerometer, a suite of track timers, shift indicators, an average speed calculator, a fuel economy computer, and is fully wrapped in Alcantara.
