When: April thru June 2012
For anybody who didn't catch the playoffs last year, despite the loss in the Eastern Conference finals, this was easily Rondo's coming out party for the Celtics. He seemingly finally identified himself as Boston's best player, averaging a solid 17.3 PPG, 11.9 APG, 6.7 RPG, and 2.4 SPG and giving us the ridiculous 44-10-8-3 game above. We didn't even know Rondo had a performance like that in him. He was never a big scorer but he could always do everything else. In these playoffs however, he asserted himself as guy who can score when he needed to in accordance with helping his team win. Regardless of how it ended, the league officially was put on notice for just how good Rondo is and it marked the beginning of the Celtics being his team.
