This Insane NASCAR Crash Is Bumper Cars at 200 MPH

Nobody was seriously injured.

Although so many car crashes are exciting and cool to watch, there's often sadness and disbelief when news that those involved had been seriously injured. That wasn't the case in today's insane pile-up at Talladega that involved dozens of drivers. The crash was an obnoxious mess at 200 mph, and eliminated many drivers' championship hopes as Matt Kenseth took home the win. And although the fans watched replays over and over again in fascination, people like Dale Earnhardt Jr. expressed afterwards that nobody should ever hope for crashes like this.

"It's not safe wrecking like that," he said. "It's ridiculous, man. It's bloodthirsty if that's what people want."

Jeff Gordon doesn't enjoy the races at Talladega but agrees that it's great entertainment.

"I don't like coming here," he said. "I don't like the type of racing that I have to do. But if I'm a fan, I would love that. I think it is incredibly intense. It's wild, it's crazy."

For now, the drivers are just happy to move on.
