Winner of both the 2012 Deutsche Bank Award for Design and second place in the 2012 Pininfarina Design Contest, the Velopresso bicycle-powered coffee cart is practically every hipsters dream. Producing fine espresso with nearly zero carbon emissions, the system designed by Royal College of Art students Lasse Oiva and Amos Field Reid uses Gates Belt Drive technology to keep their cart greaseless, noisless, and energy efficient. The pair of designers are hoping to commercialize their idea and spread out across the streets of Europe and North America.
