Outrageous interiors are nothing new for Carlex Design. Remember that Rolls-Royce with ostrich and kangaroo leather? That was Carlex, and the custom company has returned with another overwhelming project, the MiniSteam. The steampunk-themed Mini Countryman is made over from the inside out, with a matte black paint job, full body kit, and copper roof and BBS rims. The exterior is nothing compared to the two-toned leather guts. Decked out with plenty more copper accents and gorgeous dark lacquered wood, the experience is almost too much. Half of us wants to say that it's well-done, but our art and design friends disagree. What's the verdict?
