Former New York Yankee manager Billy Martin is infamous for a lot of things. He was notorious for his fights with players like Reggie Jackson, his classic arguments with umpires, and his constant battles with Yankees owner George Steinbrenner. Many in the New York media speculated whether Martin's fiery personality was fueled by alcohol and many in the public naturally believed this. Martin's drinking habits were notorious and unfortunately alcohol played a role in his death, as he died in a car crash where the driver, William Reedy, was found to have been drunk.
