Nissan is Working on a Cheaper Leaf

Electrifying the masses.

Nissan sold 12,000 Leaves this year while the company's goal was a whopping 40,000. We think this is a result of the damn thing being a $35,200 subcompact that can't be fueled up quickly and burdens owners with range anxiety, but that's just us.

In order to sell a few more electric cars, Nissan is now promising that the company will release a cheaper version of the Leaf. What shall it be called? Twig? Sprout? Arugula?
