Michael Vick Might Be Headed to the Bench Soon

His days in Philadelphia could be numbered.

Are the Eagles thinking about benching Michael Vick? He sure seems to think so. Although head coach Andy Reid hasn't made an official announcement yet, MV just admitted that the Iggles are seriously considering putting him on the bench in favor of rookie QB Nick Foles.

"Obviously, [Andy Reid] is thinking about making a change at the quarterback position," he said earlier today. "The thing I do know, and I'll go watch the film and I'll evaluate myself, is that I'm giving us every opportunity to win…Whatever decision Coach makes, I support it. The thing I know is, I'm giving it everything I've got out there when I step on the field. Deep down, as long as I know I'm doing that, giving it everything, that's all I can ask out of myself."

Could we see yet another rookie QB guiding a team onto the football field next Sunday? We'll have to wait and see. But, we do know that if Vick gets pulled, he can forget all that "dynasty" talk he was giving us a few months ago. His career in Philly—and the big-ass $100 million contract he signed last year—will officially be in jeopardy.
