So far, so good.

Mark Cuban isn't a big fan of what the Lakers did in the offseason. As the owner of the Mavericks, who are just one year removed from winning the 2011 NBA championship, he wasn't happy to see the Lake Show add Steve Nash and Dwight Howard to a roster that already included Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace, and, of course, Kobe Bryant. So, when he was asked about the Lakers team last night just before the Mavs opened up their season against them, he wished them the worst for the 2012-13 NBA season.

"I don't know, I don't care, I just hope they suck," he said. "You know, like any other team…Obviously, Nash is great. He's phenomenal, Dwight's phenomenal, Kobe…but it takes a team. They've got to come together and play as a team. Hopefully, they won't figure it out tonight."

He got his wish. The Mavs beat the Lakers 99-91 on opening night. But, don't look for the Lakers to be below-.500 for much longer. Despite Cuban's wishes, we don't think they're gonna "suck" for very long.
