Kevin Love broke his right hand during a workout Wednesday morning. He's going to be out for 6-8 weeks, meaning he'll miss about 20 games. That sucks for the Minnesota Timberwolves because Ricky Rubio is still coming back from a torn ACL he suffered last season. Love is fresh off winning a gold medal and was poised to follow up the 26 and 13 he put up last year. He has turned into one of the best players in the league and has put up ridiculous numbers the last two seasons. But, on the bright side(if there is any), they'll get both of them back around the same time. This also gives last year's No. 2 pick Derrick Williams a much needed opportunity. David Kahn has him buried in the depth chart with all those forwards over there in Minny. So, he'll get a chance to shine and maybe be able to be trade bait in the future.
The T'wolves could pretty much kiss their playoff hopes goodbye in the always competitive Western Conference.
