Aston Martin to Produce a Supermini Car

Toss a V12 in a city car. Please.

None

Based on the Scion/Toyota IQ, Aston Martin's Cygnet is a tremendously well appointed mini car. To give the car a more 007 appeal, Aston is considering rivaling the Nissan Juke R—a supermini that carries the running gear from a Nissan GT-R—and kicking the Cygnet into a new stratosphere.

The idea is to employ a modified version of the same V12 engine that powers the DB9 and Vantage. Apparently, this is possible without extensive change to the Cygnet's engine bay.

The era of small cars is certainly upon us. And now, the idea of superminicars seems more than plausible.
