If you had just crashed a motorcycle at a high speed, broken three ribs, collapsed a lung, and gotten acquainted with some rocks very quickly, would you have the balls to get back on the bike? At 4:30, racer Sam Longson hit a rock the wrong way and he lost control of his bike, slamming his rib-cage into some rather cruel looking rocks, and causing the aforementioned injuries. He realized that he had only 14 miles left in the 534 mile Vegas to Reno race, and that the nearest medical professionals were at the finish line, so he said a lot of things that are not appropriate for polite company, grabbed his giant balls of steel, and finished the race.

He was 3rd in his class and 38th overall.
