In the first inning of last night's game between the Washington Nationals and the St. Louis Cardinals, the Nats' Michael Morse hit a ball that appeared to go over the wall but ricocheted back into the field of play. Initially, the umpires ruled it an RBI single with Morse out at first, but after the umps took the time to look at the tape, they ruled it a bases-clearing grand slam. So, they let him just finish rounding the bases, right? Nope.
Instead, the umps had Morse repeat everything, including swinging an invisible bat for a home run. Seriously, we couldn't make this stuff up even if we tried. Check out the above video to see how it all played out.
